The semi-finals and finals at the EverLAN Warcraft III tournament were a match-up of North America’s best Warcraft III players. All of the matches played today were some of the most unique and interesting matches to watch, capturing the essence behind what makes each of these players the best at what they do. The morning started off with Suboshi beating TechnoBoy 2-0. Next up was a match-up between the two greatest players in North America- Canuck and CarDinal. Canuck took the victory with a record of 2-0 and moved on to the finals to face Suboshi.
The final matches were some truly fantastic battles. Be sure not to miss these replays, as you’ll be able to pick up some of the excellent strategies and tactics implemented by each of the players. Played out over the best of five games, both Suboshi vs Canuck and CarDinal vs TechnoBoy ended up playing a full five matches— a perfect example of competition at its finest.
In the 1st and 2nd place finals, Canuck took the win in the first game and succumbed to a loss in the second. Canuck took yet another loss in the third match, but surmounts an incredible comeback in game four to reestablish his chances at the championship in the fifth and final match. In a glorious final battle on the Gnoll Wood map, Canuck fights hard and is victorious, taking 1st place at EverLAN.
The final results:
1st – ENE|Canuck
2nd – ENE|Suboshi
3rd – VoG.gmpo.Revive (AKA TechnoBoy)
4th – CarDinal)
Congratulations to the winners and their excellent work throughout the tournament. An exciting finish round set up some interesting rivalries for the next EverLAN Warcraft III tournament coming this summer!
